United Way of Southwest New Mexico - Dedicated to Community Development
About Us Give Advocate Volunteer Get Help

In 2008 we invite you to join us in our mission
to achieve a stronger community by uniting our collective power
to create positive, meaningful change, because advancing the common good is
less about helping one person at a time and more  about changing systems
to help us all - we invite you to join us and LIVE UNITED.

The United Way of Southwest New Mexico is a local, independent, volunteer driven, non-profit organization, bringing people and resources together to build stronger communities in and around Dona Ana County.

Since 1957 we have been making a difference in our community and building better lives throughout Southwest New Mexico.

Through our Community Impact Committee we partner with community volunteers in prioritizing needs, consolidating resources, and funding programs that provide effective support and solutions in three key areas: education, health and income.

Over the years, the united efforts of United Way partner programs and community members have helped improve the lives of many of those most vulnerable in our community.

The United Way of Southwest New Mexico funds 24 local non-profit programs that address the building blocks of a better life - improved education, better health and economic self-sufficiency.

The staff currently consists of a full time President/CEO, Vice President, and Community Connect volunteer and is overseen by a 12-member volunteer Board of Directors.
