Impact When you give through the United way of Southwest New Mexico you are ensuring that each dollar will make the greatest possible impact.
We work with charitable organizations providing programs and services that support improvement in three primary areas - education, health and income - areas that the United Way has identified as the building blocks for a better life.
Each year a Citizens Review Panel comprised of local volunteer members of our community reviews requests by the programs and services for that funding. The panel considers a number of factors in deciding the allocation of funding including additional funding sources for each program and service, keeping a balance across areas of support and the current conditions of our unique community.
In this way, the United Way of Southwest New Mexico ensures that available resources are consolidated and applied in a targeted way to address the most pressing needs of our community as determined by our community with funds going directly to programs and services.

Each quarter the United Way of Southwest New Mexico reports back to you with details about how every dollar donated has been working to improve lives in our community. You will be kept informed with regular updates so that you can see the results of your donations - your relationship with the United Way of Southwest New Mexico doesn't stop at giving.
